Campaign to stop developer building flats at Admiral's Gate wins at planning commitee

Plymouth's Planning Committee have turned down proposals for a block of flats to be built at Admiral's Gate in Devonport.

Today Labour Councillors for Devonport, Mark Coker and Bill Stevens, were out speaking to local residents to share the news and ensure locals remain aware that the developers could submit an appeal.

Cllr Bill Stevens said:"Nothing has changed since the last application in August. Parking will be a nightmare, particularly when Plymouth Albion rugby club are playing. In Admiral's Gate we have a true community, which needs to be encouraged and supported."

Cllr Mark Lowry said: "Local residents have asked us to help to fight against this development and to protect the open spaces around the flats allowing there children space to play, i fully support their aims and to protect their envirnoment from this development."
