Hollycroft Road Graffiti
14 February 2009
Plymouth is blighted by graffiti claims Labour. Whilst campaigning in Compton Ward, Linda Gilroy's Leaflet Team spotted Graffiti on a road sign on Hollycroft Road and recorded this video about the Tory Council's commitment to remove graffiti within 24 hours. Watch the video below:
Cllr Tudor Evans, Lead of the Labour Group on Plymouth City Council, attempted to report the Graffiti but the Council was refusing to take calls at the weekend. Cllr Evans said: "Not being open when the majority of Plymouth residents have time to report graffiti makes a mockery of the Council's pledge to remove Graffiti within 24 hours. We are now going to report the graffiti on the road sign in Compton and will keep pressure on the local Tories to ensure it is removed."
"This is all the more concerning as Compton is the ward of the Deputy Leader of the Council. If he cannot keep his own ward free of graffiti how can we hope for him to do so for the rest of the City?"
Send us your views about graffiti in Plymouth - we want to hear if the Council is sticking to their 24 hour pledge to remove graffiti.
